FOSMITE contains Ethion, one of the oldest and largest selling acaricide and Insecticide in the world, as active ingredient. FOSMITE formulations are applied on the foliage for effective control of Mites, Scales, Thrips, Beetles and Lepidopterous larvae.

Mode of Action
FOSMITE is an Acetylcholinesterase inhibitor, which is responsible for inhibition of enzyme Acetylcholinesterase resulting into blockage in the transmission of nerve impulses in insects and mites.

Antidote
Give atropine sulphate 2 to 4 mg intravenously at 5 to 10 minutes interval until the patient recovers.
Administer 2 PAM, 1 to 2 g to be dissolved in 10 cc distil water and inject intravenously (very slowly) taking 10 to 15 minutes.
Precautions
- Do not spray against the wind direction.
- Always wear protective clothing while handling.
- Do not smoke, eat or drink during application.
- Wash hands and body thoroughly after spraying.
